This year marks a monumental milestone for Megaworld International as we officially welcome Mr. Javier Romeo Abustan into his new role as Managing Director, effective March 1, 2026. To ensure our continued momentum, Mr. Abustan steps into this executive position backed by a legacy of excellence and a deep understanding of our corporate DNA.

If his past 22 years are any indication, the future of Megaworld International is in incredibly capable hands. Mr. Abustan’s journey with the company is nothing short of legendary. Joining the ranks as a Property Consultant in 2004, he didn’t just meet targets, he completely redefined them, sweeping top sales awards year after year. His natural instinct for market trends and relentless drive led to his well-deserved promotion to Assistant Vice President in 2013.

Most recently, as a marketing head since 2021, Mr. Abustan spearheaded massive regional growth for both Megaworld and Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI). His brilliant leadership earned him the prestigious Top 1 Marketing Head title for GERI for five consecutive years, spanning 2021 to 2025. If you have marveled at the soaring commercial success of master-planned paradises like Boracay Newcoast, Paragua Coastown, Baytown Palawan, or the exquisite Lialto Beach and Golf Estate, you have witnessed his strategic blueprint in action.

Beyond the boardroom, Mr. Abustan pairs his sharp business acumen with profound intellectual depth. An alumnus of San Beda College holding a Bachelor of Arts Major in Economics, his academic brilliance was recognized early on. He is a proud recipient of the Sen. Edgardo Angara Award and was named the Most Outstanding Student in Economics of Public Policy and Development Administration.

Yet, despite his lengthy list of corporate accolades, he remains deeply grounded by his greatest pride: his family. As a devoted husband and father to two sons, his leadership is fueled by the same values of dedication, legacy, and care that define the entire Megaworld family.
