The Philippines is quickly becoming a top choice for global business and big events. Just recently, we hosted the 2026 ASEAN Tourism Forum in Cebu, proving to everyone that we have what it comes to host the world.
The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026 in Cebu is anchored by the theme “Navigating Our Tourism Future Together,” marking a major milestone for the Philippines as it assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship. A central highlight is the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) held at the newly opened Mactan Expo, where over 700 international buyers and sellers connect through the region’s largest business-to-business marketplace. High-level policy discussions include the ASEAN Tourism Ministerial Meeting and the launch of the ASEAN Tourism Sectoral Plan 2026–2030, a strategic roadmap for sustainable and inclusive growth. Beyond the meetings, delegates participate in curated thematic tours such as “Paglantaw,” a heritage tour of old Cebu, and “Paglayag,” an island-hopping experience designed to showcase the province’s rich culture and natural beauty. The event also features the ASEAN Tourism Standard Awards at the NUSTAR Convention Centre, celebrating excellence in sustainable tourism across the region.
