After months of strict community quarantine, the Philippines, particularly the National Capital Region, is now entering the culture of new normal. This also means re-opening and resumption of businesses in the metro including Megaworld International. As we march forward the “new reality” we take gradual and careful transition to normality in our townships and it will be anchored on new protocols and innovations.
Our developments and townships will introduce a new lifestyle and adapt to new technologies, which we are already doing in relation to our iTownship campaign. This is to continue providing everyone a fun, convenient, and safe environment. The campaign “New Reality” came with guidelines that we need to adhere to in the offices, malls and parks and open spaces.
For the offices:
Mandatory wearing of face masks. Face shields are also encouraged.
Submit Health Declaration and Disclosure Statement to HR before reporting to work.
Employees must undergo rapid testing before reporting to work.
Always observe social distancing of at least one meter.
Doors will be left open to avoid frequent touching of door handles.
No one is allowed to go to other floors, except to the Great Hall.
Only one person per floor is assigned to deliver or pick up documents from other floors.
Place all documents for pickup and delivery inside a plastic envelope.
Keep hands off your face and wash frequently for at least 20 seconds.
Sanitize hands before and after using the biometrics.
Use foot baths before entering the building and visiting other floors
For the malls:
Only guests 21 to 59 years old are allowed to enter. Please bring proper identification.
Mandatory thermal scanning and foot bath in all entrances
Mandatory wearing of face masks
3-feet physical distancing which will be monitored closely by ‘Social Distancing Ambassadors’
Availability of alcohol and hand sanitizers
Cashless transaction with designated pick-up counters and drive-thru stations
Regular sanitation and deep cleaning of elevator buttons, door handles, handrails, comfort rooms and common areas
UV Light disinfection of escalator handrails
Tire bath for vehicles and sanitizing of parking cards during parking
No dine-ins
No free Wi-Fi
Chapels and entertainment and leisure establishments will remain closed
Air conditioning will be set at 26-C
For parks and open spaces:
Push button kiosks are sanitized every 30 minutes
Parking cards are sanitized before deployment at the card dispenser
Wooden cash tray are used at the cashier to avoid contact upon exit
Alcohol and sanitizers are available at all cashier and exit booths
Aside from these guidelines, Megaworld also introduced the state-of-the-art disinfection chambers and contactless purchases as part of the new safety protocols that are being rolled out asour lifestyle malls partially reopen.
Globally, Megaworld International is also adapting to the challenges of COVID-19, especially with regard to ways of working and reaching out to the clients. To maintain the productivity and efficiency in this “new reality,” we are identifying opportunities to work remotely with the aid of virtual meetings and roadshows.
