From the Desk of the EVP

EVP Marivic Acosta talks about how Megaworld International renews its energy to foster a better year ahead.

It brings me great joy that we are welcoming a brand new year full of hope and optimism.

Our pandemic years taught us that (1) To exceed, cooperation and teamwork is important in a group. With the combined strength of many, a team can achieve great things, (2) To exceed, we must have one mind and one body to achieve our goals and a healthy conducive environment to keep morale strong. When we have a united front and move as one, we overcome the toughest obstacles.

Indeed, our goal and battle cry to Exceed was achieved. I see it every day – through the passion, determination and hard work of our employees and sales networks around the globe. Our strengths led us to become the top division for 3 consecutive years.

During my spiritual reflections, I came upon the bible verse from Isaiah 43:19

See, I am doing something new! Now it springs forth!

Life is a succession of beginnings. Every day, every hour, every moment in life, every one of us is confronted with new beginnings. You may think that beginnings are small and insignificant, but if we think about it, nothing could be further from the truth, because everything starts with a beginning. The body begins as a cell and even a small seed becomes a big tree.

To begin something is to cause the movement of energy. As energy begins to move, our life begins to move. This is why every cause has an effect, and this is why every beginning leads to an end, to a result.

Our new battle cry is Spring Forth! A renewed energy springs forth in all of us that will foster a fruitful, better year.

We shall seek every opportunity to think newly, feel newly, act newly, speak newly and live newly.

I thank those who have remained loyal to MWI and have believed in our company and its projects. I value your loyalty, through thick and thin, you have stayed true to your MWI family. At the end of the day, we are family in the purest sense, and we shall continue to nurture and support each other.
