Dr. Andrew Tan buys skyscraper in Madrid

After acquiring Spain’s largest and oldest brandy Fundador, Dr. Andrew Tan’s Emperador has bought the 57-storey, 230-meter Torre Espacio (Space Tower) for about €558 million (USD591 million). The skyscraper is considered as one of the tallest buildings in Spain with several embassies including UK, Canada and Australia, holding offices at the building. It is located at Cuatro Torres de la Castellana, Madrid.

Dr. Tan acquired the property from Spain’s Grupo Villar Mir, the primary shareholder of the OHL Group. The deal was made in Dr. Tan’s personal capacity and remains a private investment of his family.
